Four years after Nepal’s deadly earthquakes, FNB Nepal with Survivors.

12th Baisakh, 2072, Nepal was hit by 7.8 magnitude earthquake which affected 31 districts. In that tragic moment, more than 9000 people were killed and huge properties of the nation were destroyed. Today, 12th Baisakh, 2076, FNB Nepal conducted Community Mobile Legal Clinics with the presence of 60 participants in Sankharapur municipality-8, Madichud primary school in collaboration of Sankharapur Municipality. CMLC was started with the remembrance of the incident which happened in same day of 2072 and manifestation on demised soul. In the clinic, advocates discussed about the current laws and #policies on #reconstruction process, Muluki Ain civil and criminal code of conduct 2075. Another session of the clinic ended with question and answer round between the participants and resource person, where Mr. Subash Timalisina, communication officer of FNB has facilitated the discussion. In the discussion, community people approach on the problems of reconstruction and new provisions on civil and criminal code of conduct. This session on reconstruction was led by Mr. Lal Bahadur Basnet, grievance handling officer from central National Reconstruction Authority (NRA). Advocate Nirmal Upreti, president of FNB Nepal and advocate Suman Neupane, coordinator of the program has facilitated the mobile clinics on different legal issues. Ms. Manju Gautam, secretary and Mr. Jeevan Paudel, treasurer of the organization was also present at the clinic. Program was ended by chief guest, Mr. Dev Krishna Khatri, Ward President of Sankharapur Municipality – 8. Mr. Khatri elaborated present situation of reconstruction in Sankharapur Municipality-8.
